Technical Rope Rescue Courses - TRR

Overview

tech rope rescue

High to low angle—if you’re a rock climber or a rope-based rescue professional you know what we’re talking about. Our rope-based courses are designed to integrate cutting edge technology and methods with a sound rescue approach to best ensure the safety of everyone involved in any rope rescue. Ropes are invaluable tools for accessing victims and equipment from all sorts of situations, but improperly used they can add to the danger of the situation, and even cause more damage in already compromised situations. Knowing how, when, where, and why to use different rope techniques is vital to a successful rope-based rescue. Our rope courses cover both hands-on instruction and the theory behind it to give the student the best base possible for approaching various rope rescue scenarios.

NFPA Compliant Rope Rescue

The following courses meet the National Fire Protection Agency Standards 1670(NFPA) Technical Rope Rescue. Upon completion of these courses students will receive a technician certificate from Rescue 3 international.

  • This one-day course will assist your organization in meeting the NFPA 1670 standard for Awareness level training. This class is designed for any person who, in the course of their duties, may be first on-scene for a rope rescue incident. This seminar introduces personnel to the problems associated with rope rescue, as well as procedures to follow when encountered with flash floods, large-scale disasters and seasonal flooding. Because this is a theory class, the Awareness level responder is not considered a rescuer. This seminar is entirely classroom based.
