Ecuador Expedition
Creature Craft Ecuador proudly introduces our exhilarating 7-day expedition into the wilds of Ecuador’s legendary rivers.
Day 1: A warm-up run on the Cosanga River in a breathtaking canyon of the Quijos Valley challenges paddle crews with technical drops. Continuing into the Quijos river drainage, we set up camp on the riverbank and enjoy a hearty dinner and drinks.
Day 2: Having reached the mighty Quijos River, we run a 16-mile stretch of class IV and V drops. This big-water day ends with relaxing, riverside camping.
Day 3: Floating through a stunning black-rock gorge, we play in some enormous Class V water rollercoasters. As we lose elevation, we move into denser forest and more tropical air. We are surrounded by the exotic flowers and birds of the jungle.
Day 4: We arrive at the confluence of the Quijos and the Oyacachi, where the water swells for an even more exciting ride. After taking out and moving to the town of Tena, we eat a good meal and enjoy the comforts of a night in a local lodge.
Days 5 & 6: These last days give us the opportunity to run one of the area’s many river drainages, depending on water levels.
Day 7: At the conclusion of our adventure, we transfer back to the airport in Quito.
