Class V Guide School

Taught by WAVE TREK RESCUE, LLC, in conjunction with CREATURE CRAFT, Inc.

Leave for seven days. Get on Class V whitewater. Go home with an unparalleled river experience.

This unique, Class V-certified course integrates modern technology and old-school skill. Learn to operate a Creature Craft, the newest inflatable boat on the whitewater scene, and experience Class V water like never before. Fine-tune your water-reading and river-running abilities. Master the techniques of rolling, rigging, and driving. Push yourself to a new level of hole-riding.

Emphasizing risk management and safety procedures, this course covers everything from traditional rafts and oar-boats to multi-day expeditions and remote river trips. We select the course location from a variety of Class V rivers, depending on current water levels.

• Prerequisites include:
  • A background of guiding on at least Class III whitewater
  • First Aid and CPR or Wilderness First Aid
  • Rescue 3 Whitewater Rescue Technician certification, or the ability to complete a Rescue 3 WRT course before guiding
